Hand Embroidery Stitches Sampler

IT. Declinazione di rose nel mio "stitch sampler" di ricamo. 

Volevo racchiudere le tecniche che ho appreso nei vari corsi di ricamo, ma non sono riuscita a includere tutto. Sarebbe stato troppo lungo. Però per il momento ho scelto qualche punto alta moda e ho indicato anche i nomi delle scuole.

I punti che ho scelto sono di ricamo a rilievo con seta, stumpwork e poi quelli con perline e pailettes.

Le scuole citate sono : Ricamo alta moda , Lesage, Royal School of Needlework , Lunéville .

Being Inspired by Christian Dior

Being inspired by Dior embellishment I did this fashion embroidery. I used stumpwork technique, that is the style of embroidery where the stitched figures are raised from the surface of the work to form a three- tridimensional effect. 

I used:

-padding

 -beads

- wire

 - needle lace stitches

-sewing thread.

  

Firstly, I transfered the design. I applied the wire around the shape and I stiched around the edge of the design. I worked around a piece of wire to create individual form of butterfly wings. The wings were cutting out and then applied to the main body of work.

Stumpwork is popular in the 17th century in England. It is used in fashion embroidery to embellish dresses and bags.

Dior detail

Guardando un abito di Dior, ho realizzato questo ricamo.  Ho usato la tecnica stumpwork, lo stile di ricamo dove gli oggetti sono sollevati dalla superficie, dando un effetto tridimensionale. 

Ho usato:

-stoffa

- perline 

-paillette 

- fil di ferro

 - ago

- filo

  

Ho ricopiato il disegno delle singole ali di farfalle, dopo ho messo il fil di ferro sui bordi dell'immagine e ho ricamato intorno. Ho ritagliato le ali e le ho applicate al corpo centrale del lavoro.  Infine ho decorato le ali con perline e paillettes.

Lo stumpwork era una tecnica popolare nell'Inghilterra del 17° secolo, viene spesso usata nell'haute couture per ricamare abiti e borse.
